I have my fingers, toes, eyes and legs (did I miss anything) - TopicsExpress

I have my fingers, toes, eyes and legs (did I miss anything) crossed for my boy coming home tomorrow. Sitting in bed and getting a little sookie (possibly just being emotionally codependent) because I can smell him on the pillow but hes not here. Every spare moment I thank The Lord for a successful outcome with the operation. Im so grateful that I trusted my gut instinct and ran with the professor that performed the surgery. He may have been arrogant with poor bedside manner, but does that really matter when he is the best of the best. But in all honesty, it was not just the professor- there was a multitude of surgeons working round the clock to save my Benjamin...and a very special thank you goes out to Jeremy- a surgeon that was great at his job (the neatest staple work youve ever seen) plus the compassion and care this man had for his patients was mind blowing. Jeremy specialised in this field because of his mum having been struck with the same tumour. He had an understanding of what the patients were going through and the families. He came in on his day off today to see how Ben was doing...and had many chats with me over the last few days and gave me the support and tips to getting my boy back on track. Truly a man who deserves thanks, praise and admiration. Ive felt very alone and isolated these past few months...but now looking forward to a brighter future with my boy. There are a couple of people out there (you know who you are) that have been my sound board, my support and the equivalency of my mummy- thank you...I dont even know where to start to repay you for love and support. Without you- I probably would have fallen in a heap mid week. It is your support and words of wisdom that will keep me on track for the hard journey ahead for Jazz, Ben and I...and whenever there is an opportunity, I will be there for you as you have for me. Much love to you all xxx
