I have never been more inspired by anyone on any topic than I have just now by Emma Watson regarding the HeforShe campaign. Dealing with my own feminist struggle currently, her words spoke to me so deeply that I was left in tears. Feminism isnt about hatred of men. Its about equality of men AND women. My first influence growing up, of seeing a smart female character was Hermoine Granger. I instantly related to her and aspired to be just as hard working as she was. This idea has never left me. Now, seeing the very actress who portrayed my childhood role model speak on a topic of which I am extremely passionate gave me the utmost hope for changes that we can and will make in society, not just for women but for men as well.
