I have never had to wonder how I would change a tire or a light bulb. I’ve always had someone to call if I was lost, someone to fix the things I broke, to solve the more mechanical life puzzles and problems that I thought were unsolvable. I’ve never had to look very far for a high five, tractor ride, funny joke, or simply a hug. I’ve never had to feel what its like to be on my own. Ive never had to fix my car by myself, or even go a day without lifes bare necessities. I’ve never had to worry or wonder if I was loved. You have always been there, always been hard working and great at naps and downing blue bell ice-cream, silly and wise, the best damn handy man Ive ever seen, honest, humble, and hopeful. You have taught me so much in your quiet way. You have shown me the value of being strong minded, and have helped me to see that no person, despite their mistakes, is beyond the reach of success and Gods grace. Happy birthday to the best dad. I love you!!!
