I have never ranted on my Facebook so here comes a first. I am appalled that there is posts on Facebook that are putting n down the ALS challenge and worse saying that most of the charity doesnt go where it should. - Now my rant. First, this is FALSE. check out snopes. ALS actually holds only 7% for admin costs and the other 93% goes to research, education, patients care and help as well as their families. Our family has lost an aunt, a Godmother and also a dear friend to ALS. This is a Horrible disease that is fatal. I know first hand of the held the ALS fund gives. From making ramps, making the home handicap assessable, providing hospital beds and help to the patient and their family. This is a shame that this propaganda is spreading against this charity. The ice bucket challenge brought an insurmountable amount of publicity that in turn has exponentially increased those donations. This my friends is something we as people should be so proud of. We can make a difference. To talk about wasting water or putting down the charity is not only incorrect but dangerous. These people suffer and they suffer greatly, they deserve the hope for a cure. They deserve the compassion of the public to learn more of this disease and they deserve our help and support and our assurance that we will not give up fighting for a cute and fighting for them....ok, I am done. If you see any negative campaign on your or your friends wall, please make sure they are aware it is a scam and this is an awesome charity.
