I have not posted in a few days for good reasons. I have several things i would like to address in this post. We had our first prime rib sunday and it was a great success. No complaints just happy customers that all promised to return every sunday for this after church lunch gathering. Even chef drew was getting tips sent back to the kitchen. Great job as usual chef. I recently was at a restaurant here in cuba and was told by my server that they refused to eat at my establishment because of the name fat ass jacks and then heard this same comment from a customer about his family members. Please allow me to respond to these comments in fat ass jacks fashion. I am a marketing major and my strategy is working. Negative publicity is still publicity and if people are talking and creating a buzz then i have put my education to work. Also the name is nothing but a name. It has a catchy ring to it, its risky, it gets people talking and i am referring to a jak ass ( donkey) Large portions. Ect.. i do not discriminate against over weight people because i am overweight. Wouldnt that make me a hypocrite as well as a jack ass? If you are such a (super christian) that you cant be seen at my restaurant because of a name, perhaps you should remember that all of Gods leading men and women in the bible were whores, theives, murderers, idolators and drunkards. And jesus also preferred the company of sinners over those who claim to be perfect. let him without sin cast the first stone ring a bell? My personal opinion is - lighten up. Im quite sure even jesus had a sence of humor. He had too to put up with this world. Church and striving to be a super christian does not save you. Your Personal relationship with christ and grace does! I am in no way pushing my beliefs on your dinner plate but i have every right as an american citizen and as a christian to defend my beliefs and business that was chosen to be placed in your community to help boost your economy and create jobs for your family and friends. But if you choose not to eat at fat ass jacks thats your decision and i will not question that. However if you attack my restaurant on the basis of ignorance i will defend my cause.
