I have nothing against Christians?, I used to be a Southern Baptist, and now Im pagan, because I found a path that will allow me to maintain my own personal moral and ethical code as well as not have to fain belief in some creature that forces mankind to do evil. Man is evil enough without some creature that was stolen from both pagan and Greek mythology and corrupted into a fallen demigod called Lucifer / Satan / Devil. I dont get why it cant be an all inclusive rather than all this hate and animosity, simply because we have different belief systems. It makes no sense that intelligent beings who are supposed to love and care for one another, which is a mandate and even pagan religions, yet in the same breath you must distance yourself from one another if you are not of the same ideology / book / house. Just makes no sense! It just never made sense to me all the contradictions, yet we are supposed to blindly follow without question? To me any deity that created us and gave us free will would want us to question, think for ourselves, follow the path we feel that would lead us to a happier and fulfilling afterlife. Would it not be great, to be true to yourself, true to your beliefs, still love and care for one another and where we live... then pass on and find out that all these different roads all go to the same place? Wouldnt it be better if we realize that religion is a control mechanism and faith in our selves and what we truly believe in is really where the true inner light of our deity shines?
