I have noticed ISIS/ISIL has threatened to target military & prior service members & their families in my homeland… I certainly do not speak for any other veteran, just myself, and with that I welcome the challenge. However, I wish they would limit their aggression toward the combatants (even to include the ex-combatants/ vets) but unlike the USA they do not try to avoid collateral damage, that is their objective. So, I plead with the families of our service members who are not constantly ready to defend themselves not to randomly advertise your association with our service, unless you are fully prepared to defend yourself. Watch what you put on the internet / social media, the clothes you wear & stickers / magnets on your vehicles, etc. that may identify you as a target to these cowards. I know, I know… some will say, “if we are not sporting those symbols we’re letting them win”. If you believe that logic, then you should believe our military should not be allowed to use camouflage. There are many ways to support or troops & veterans without making you a target. If you are a family member, then you are most likely doing way more than the vast majority of this country to support our military… and I thank you. So to all the radical islamist… If you come to decapitate me please bring another copy of the quran, the one I found is almost out of pages & while they are not nearly as comfortable as Charmin, it’s much more fun
