I have noticed a number of amatuer hurricane predictions being posted on Facebook and a few other places. Do not base your preparedness levels on these predictions! The hurricane season begins in two months. Now is the time to take $5- to $10- a week and purchase supplies for your hurricane and survival kit. In spring of 2004, we had an el nino begin to develop. By June, July and August we were in an El Nino event. The CPC is forecasting a 50/50 chance of an el nino to develop. But remember what happened in 2004? Do not forget about the 6 tropical cyclones that hit Florida. Do not forget that other el nino hurricane seasons have brought disaster. Look at your family, look at what would happen if you dont prepare! Look at your business, would you be able to open and serve your customers? Do not fall for these predictions and make a plan and build that kit to be prepared for this upcoming hurricane season! As for those that question my reasoning, my record stands for itself!
