I have now officially peed on the side of every kind of road in Spain. Today I jumped over the guardrail on the motorway. There just was no alternative. Generally, I now prefer peeing on the side of the road than trying to hold it in till I find a gas station. If I go to a gas station, I have to park the bike and then leave it out if my sight for however long it takes. On the side of the road, I lean the bike against a guardrail, jump over the other side, and do my business with my eye on the bike at all times. I have this stuff down like a science now. I can even identify the perfect pee spot.
