I have one goal today....... Consume 1kg of White fish or white meat. Nothing crazy just keeping calories up while on a lower carb day (the next three days are low) Yesterday was 500grams red meat and 500grams white meat. Tomorrow and Saturday will be working on eggs, salmon, and small oily fish as Im travelling. I am mixing up my protein simply because the body works more effectively using many protein sources and not eating the same foods each day. So I make a point of having days where i focus on certain foods only and then completely changing it up the next day and again the day after. It may be four or five days before I eat that food again. For example eggs can be allergenic but when consumed irregularly its been shown that this will be less of an issue. On days I train I will consume Carbs on my post workout meal as its daytime. Also in the evening if I feel I need them or I feel wired (50-100grms). I am consuming many vegetables, and alkalising drinks during this time and the occasional pack of nuts. This is preparation for a mass gaining 3 week phase coming on monday. Triggering the body to be in fat burning mode before mass gaining phase is a very effective way of getting your body sensitive to insulin for muscle growth without the old mantra of your typical bulking. The leaner you become the more potentially sound you are at utilising Carbs within the muscle as they are less resistant (i work this way I am not saying this is a rule for every single person on the planet). This is a tiny summary of the complexity of the program I am doing but just allowing a bit of insight into the day at hand for those interested in this!
