I have prevailed once more despite all odds by yet again defeating the hydra, which always returns for another round come late April each year after its heads regenerate. The senior comment sheets, the AP mock exam and refreshments, the AP exam, pre-exam breakfast, and test break refreshments, the AP Finer Things Club garden party, the proofing of the last wills for senior chapel, the summer reading instruction letters and sheets for underclassmen, study guides for final exams, a new final exam to correspond with the new English IV text,the senior breakfast, one hundred small favors for others, and, most daunting of all, the senior and sophomore research papers are done and done! Valiantly (if I say so myself) managing to subdue each of these heads while teaching, continuing to give regular tests and quizzes, and meeting home, church, and family obligations simultaneously has left me bloody (and broke) but unbowed. Is there a feminine form of the name Hercules?
