I have read a lot lately about the lady in Oregon who has terminal - TopicsExpress

I have read a lot lately about the lady in Oregon who has terminal brain cancer and has decided to pass through physician assisted suicide, or has people are calling it now death with dignity. And I know I will catch some flack for voicing my opinion on this matter, but thats ok I am prepared. Anyhow I would like to throw in my two cents on the matter. I have read that people are calling her brave for making her decision to kill herself. I dont think it is brave. You see I am looking at this from a angle of having a loved one who has decided that they no longer wanted to suffer in this life as well, so they decided to end their life to. And although I can not judge nor measure the amount of suffering this lady nor my loved one suffer or suffered. I dont think it is brave to throw in the towel and kill yourself. But basically I cant see the deference from this lady who will be given a pill by her doctor to kill herself and my loved one who decided to take pills to also kill themselves. I grew up with a void with the lose of this loved one, and grew up with the mind set that suicide is cowardly and selfish decision. The only deference I can draw the line on from her situation and my loved one is her family is ok with it and prepared and mine was not. But does that make the decision ok or morally right. I know what I believe and why I believe it to be wrong. May God grace her with his mercy. But it is sad that moral relativity has poisoned the minds of our society that people would encourage this lady into killing herself.
