I have read articles recently about not blogging on Facebook so I will try and keep it brief. It seems every time I turn around I see another advertisement telling me how 15 minutes could save me 15% on my car insurance. I can even name my own price with some companies! Now lets do the math here...the average car insurance policy is $600. And 15% of that is around $90. So what did you just give up for that $90? You may never know. Or you could have an accident and find out right away. Car insurance like any other insurance policy is a legally binding contract written by the insurance companies attorneys. If you never have a claim it could go great for you...but if you do have a serious claim you may discover you lost a lot when you saved that $90. And you may have given up your strongest ally, an independent agent who knows the rules and knows when you are not being treated fairly. An agent who will be on your side during the sale AND during the claim. An independent agent has several companies to choose from and can make sure the insurance you buy is the right fit for the lowest price...not just the lowest price.
