I have really not posted a lot about what is going on in my family but we are now needing a little help...my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January and she started chemo on February 10. Her chemo is basically 3 days long and she is weak and tired in between chemo rounds. My aunt has been down here since February 21st helping my mom out but she will be going back to Montana at the end of next week. My mom feels like she needs/wants someone that can come sit with her for a couple of hours during the day (9am-2pm). This person does not have to really do anything but just make sure that my mom is eating and taking her meds. It would be ideal if it was someone that is retired that would just come visit, read, watch a movie, knit or just talk to her. My mom lives in port Arthur off of 73. My mom really does not want to go through home health. She is not bed ridden but she just wants some company. We are looking for this person or persons to start next Thursday, March 13th. We currently have a few feelers out in a couple churchs but any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
