I have received lots of questions about the self-titled cassette - TopicsExpress

I have received lots of questions about the self-titled cassette and the availability of digital copies. There was a time when acquiring music was not as easy as logging in to a computer and listening to any obscure classic instantly. If you were able to even find someone selling copies of an album, or willing to make a dub of a cassette, you had to invest yourself into the acquisition. You would hear of a demo through fanzines or on fliers circulated by an active network of dedicated maniacs around the world. Now slugs from any walk of life log in to numerous websites, listen to the monuments of Black Metal and pass immediate judgement. There is no though process behind their criticisms, or their praise. It is only the passing impression that a person gets from a 3 minute online experience played through substandard computer speakers. I took down all but one video of Recluse from youtube for this reason. I know things cannot reasonably be expected to return to the old ways completely, but if you want to hear our music you should invest yourself into it. Take the time to order, to wait for the package, to put it in a stereo and pay attention to the music. Hold the art in your hands, understand the intent. This is hate crystalized, it is not designed to be the background music to checking your emails. If fewer people buy or listen to our music because of this decision, that is fine with me. I will continue to use electronic sources to give news about our work, but this project is not designed for the online world.
