I have recently begun to participate as a "coach" with this group in Greensboro. Jinni Hoggard is the leader of the Greensboro group. Currently there are 10-15 athletes that I have had the privilege to meet on the courts. These individuals have played tennis but were without coaches for a few years. They are thrilled to be back on the courts. My desire as a "new coach" is to bring in younger athletes to sustain the group into the future. As a therapist for children with special needs, I think this is a wonderful opportunity to teach younger ones a fun way to stay healthy. The athletes do not have to pay fees and when old enough can play in Special Olympics. If you are interested in becoming a "coach" give me a call 456-2398.
