I have seen a few other pages writing things about themselves. So I thought I would bore you lot and do the same and take a very dodgy selfie My names Helen, Im 31, originally from Shropshire, but currently living in Barton le Clay, Bedfordshire with Tom and Alfie. I have always been into art and design even as a child, so it was only right to choose something along those lines as my career. I studied Fashion at the University of Derby and graduated with Honours. It was whilst on a work placement for part of my degree that I discovered my love of graphic design and sign writing. I took a year out and gained a HNC in graphic design, as well as my work representing the college at a D&AD exhibition. Before starting my own business I worked for a few local firms as a designer and sign writer, working for clients such as easyjet, Mercedes Benz & Santander Nearly 5 years ago I decided to branch out on my own, and most of the time its the best thing I ever did. :) Since starting my own business I have mainly worked for small local businesses, but this year I have been asked to work on a project for the National Trust which is very exciting. I also currently freelance to another local graphic designer and publishing company where I do a lot of work for TGI Fridays. My life was turned upside down last year for many reasons, and it meant that I have had to re-evaluate and change direction a little bit with where I wanted to take my business.... Which is why I am now here on facebook boring you all... haha, part of the business plan. So here is to 2014.... and here is to everybody making the best of their businesses this year.
