I have seen a few posts where people shared an article on anti-homeless spikes in London. I decided to elaborate on this issue as the war against homeless people started by the councils years ago. Yes, the war and not support or assistance to one of the most vulnerable and insecure groups of the society. Instead of providing adequate accommodation and support, the council started installing anti-homeless creative benches, spikes, banning charities from providing hot meals (banned in Manchester). The shops started placing stickers on their windows asking the public to stop giving money to homeless people directly as it supports the habbit (they are advised to donate money to charities for them to deal with this issue forgetting to mention that only 40p out of every £ 1 reaches the cause). Homeless people are quite often targeted by the police and arrested for begging as they dont have means to by food due not having permanent address or being sanctioned by Jobcentre. Councils anti-homelessness policies are forcing homeless people to move away from town centres for shoppers and other ignorant members of the public not to get upset and see the problem. It is already dangerous to be homeless in the US as you might be brutalised by the police. english.ohmynews/articleview/article_view.asp?at_code=364447 Jack Us, Adam Biggs
