I have seen a lot of police brutality videos lately. What Im about to say is going to be very controversial, but thats okay. Someone has to say it, and I dont mind taking the brunt. As an educator and a mom, I often hear students complain that they are being picked on by school employees. None of the students who complain ever preface their complain with what they did to draw the criticism or discipline from the school employee. It usually starts something the student did wrong; and if anyone, even those whose job it is to correct their behavior dare to say anything, the student would often respond with a rude and defiant comment or even expletives. If these behaviors are the same behaviors displayed by some members of the public, then I have nothing to say but more power to them. When my daughters where in elementary, Junior, or high school, anytime they came home and complained about a school employee, what I tell them is if you were doing what you were supposed to be doing, minding your own business, not breaking any rules, the school employee would not pick on you. You do not break societys rules and refuse the consequences. If you do not like the rules, WORK TO CHANGE IT. Breaking it is not the answer. It will break you instead. I would hate to live in a society without law enforcement.
