I have seen many things in my career as a nurse, some sad, some very, very funny. Once saw an elderly man standing in his bed swinging his displaced Foley catheter (bulb intact I might add) like a lasso over his head. Also heard an Indian man curse Jesus as I started his IV, Jeeeezus Christ! he would say every time I stuck him. Funny to me because he was Hindu. But one of the funniest...an elderly black gentleman mad as hell at me for an unknown reason. Very confused he was and as the dinner trays were passed out I heard cursing coming from his room. As I entered his room to check on him I saw him frustrated trying to cut his dinner meat. He looked up at me and began to curse at me using words that would cause a Marine to blush. Suddenly, I saw the source of his frustration...he had his dentures on wrong and had these tiny small upper teeth and huge horse teeth on the lower...he was furiously clacking those dentures together trying to eat his dinner and curse at me at the same time. Poor guy, felt so sorry, so confused but we got it all straight in the end. Funny, funny
