I have seen several people comment saying that Robin Williams death overshadowing the Gaza strip massacre is indicative of some cultural issue. That a privileged superstar who had everything (money, fame, success) kills himself, some how makes it not matter as much. Money, fame and success does not solve inner problems or issues. We think success and money will instantly solve our problems, because we are hypnotized by the world around us that that is what matters. This is not true. Severe Depression (what Robin Williams suffered from) is so common that statistically it is the norm. This is the *internal* massacre we face as a society. Imagine never wanting to get out of bed... Thinking everything is hopeless. Yet still pushing through and living your life (and making four movies while suffering through this, before your suicide). We have structural issues in our society that need to be tackled, and Robin Williams death should be the candle to light this dark shadow of the collective choices we make. R.I.P. Robin Wiliams
