I have seen the whole of "The Tenth Planet". I dont think it is - TopicsExpress

I have seen the whole of "The Tenth Planet". I dont think it is the best of Hartnells tenure, but is definitely one of the best. I will review it on my own channel (Parachute Walker: youtube/channel/UC6H-5hyI3feAJIP9Bx3cIQA), But I will give me brief thoughts here. I think people who buy this when it comes out on a single dvd release later this year will be getting there moneys worth, because not only are they getting an enjoyable story, but you are also getting an iconic story as it features the first ever regeneration, and the cybermens debut story. The Cybermen in this story were chilling, with there cloth and featureless faces and there simple looking design, and their chilling robotic voices make them very scarey, and I could go as far as to say they are the best cybermen ever. The story looks beautifully directed and has a good cast (good, not great). The first two episodes are good to watch, especially the scenes with the cybermen, however the 3rd episode is very slow and quite tedious. The final episode has been beutifullly restored with the power of animation, and gives the feel of what the episode was really like when it aired. and, the great thing about this story, is that it introduced the concept of regeneration, which has kept Doctor Who going to this day, and hopefully for years to come. All in all, I loved this story. 9/10.
