I have several friends that talk about the governments abuse of power, the sheeple, and other topics all while proclaiming to stand firm with the Constitution. I am one of them. Yet, this week many of our children are having their constitutional rights violated by money hungry Pearson Vue and their lobbyists during the STAAR tests. You want your guns, your freedom of speech, your right to not have government mandated health insurance, all the while agreeing to bullying, terror tactics that rival the Nazis, robots to regurgitate information the teachers have drilled into them for the last 7 months so they can get the almighty tax dollars. They seek your kids Social Security #, the family unit info (married, divorced, etc), whether they get food stamps or welfare because theyre considered high risk....All so the school can justify when and if these students fail. My girls are taking it this year. Next year, they will not be. I refuse to let my children become the pawns and collateral damage for business men that want to make make a buck. So next time you post something about liberals, guns or something else...consider that eating dinner next to you is your flesh and blood being assimilated into the very government you are so frustrated with. Parents can opt out. They can meet with the school districts and superintendents, and more often than not, the administrators in our schools beg parents to make a fuss, and keep their kids out on testing days. The teachers dont like the high stakes testing any more than we do, but they need their paycheck just like all of us. Good luck to all our kids during the next days. I could care less if my girls pass or fail. Do their best and life goes on. No xanax, tears, or hair pulling in my home because Pearson Vue found a way to make a buck.
