Having visited Thailand two times, my conclusion is that the Thai people are not good at disposing of garbage, providing bins for tourists or limiting their garbage production. These pictures are from the beautiful Chicken Island in Ao Nang. Wherever there are humans, there is garbage. Bottles, styrofoam, food wrappings, plastic bags and even coaches were lying in the sand and jungle adjacent to the beach. People need to change their mentality drastically and be aware of the damage they are doing by leaving their garbage behind. Bring your garbage home with you, dispose of it correctly, and try to use less plastic. Do you really need that plastic bag the cashier wants to give you? Take a look at the short films in the link.
