I have some issues with this article. One, know one should buy a puppy from a pet store or out of the paper and two, Umm hello we DO have a major issue with dogs being euthanized in the millions every year! I am not one for losing my constitutional rights but his right to find a dog right this minute because he wants it NOW like most of us humans do does not out weigh the suffering of millions of animals for that right! I actually think the only answer to people breeding and abandoning thousands of animals a month is only going to stop when breeding rights are taken away from the idiot back yard breeders. I would like AKC to step in and play apart in and help good breeders. Owning a pet is a big responsibility and it should not be taken lightly. Maybe if someone went through a process like they would to adopt a kid to own a dog they would not throw them away so quickly and would think long and hard before they made a decision! Dog are not furniture that can be thrown away!
