I have some very sad news, we had to send Luna to the Rainbow - TopicsExpress

I have some very sad news, we had to send Luna to the Rainbow Bridge today. Since her episode last Sunday she has steadily declined in health, and as of yesterday had to have help walking. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with her all day and she gots LOTS of lovin :) Debbie and I spent this morning hanging out with her on the deck... we all had dogs beds to sit and lay on. My heart-felt thanks goes to All Creatures Great & Small Veterinary Clinic for their outstanding compassion and help during this exceptionally hard time. We LOVE you guys!! Luna will always have a very special place in my heart... I think she taught me more than any other dog Ive ever had the privilege of being with. She was truly the best of the best. She taught other dogs how to behave and how to have fun too. One of her best tricks was with humans... if you started petting her, she would sit on your feet so you wouldnt go anywhere :) She taught other dogs that same trick as well. Debbie and I both have memories of our first training classes with both Bear and Luna, of which, we learned tons of things about ourselves! It took us a few years to put that knowledge to good use, but none-the-less, we did good!! Luna taught us how to integrate dogs into the pack, and she was pretty dang good at telling us when a dog had an issue, usually a negative one. Never had a dog love me as much as Luna did either. Anyone who knew her and how she was around me, knew the same. It was so apparent that we would joke about it. Best dang dog I ever did know! Maybe someday I can have the time to sit and write a story about Luna, because I know it would be a great one. We know in our hearts that she is in a very wonderful place and her best friend Bear is there with her, and they are having a blast! Debbie and I hope to see you at the Rainbow Bridge with all our other furry friends when our passing comes.
