I have spent a good deal of time in the topics (Honduras and Colombia) and these systems approaches have been successfully used for a long time. In fact, my dear old Daddy was a systems farmer. He raised corn and cotton, fed the corn to his cows and turned them in on his cotton stubble and put the manure back on his corn and cotton fields. And that was in the late 40s early 50s. So this stuff is really nothing new.
