I have spent a lot of time today praying and thinking about the announcement of David Platt as our new IMB president. Make no mistake - this is a controversial decision for many reasons. I could detail the concerns that many have. I share a few of those concerns. But that is not what matters now. Southern Baptists must rally behind our new president. He must succeed! We are in a desperate state, both in our churches and certainly in this world that is slipping into demonic chaos. We dont have time to fight about this or much of anything else! Too much at stake. Lead us David! I for one will give all the energy and passion I have to help you, to rally behind you and to lead our church to go with you to the world.
