I have spent my morning-- 1. researching submission of application to UTEP for Fall 2014 admission for a Technical and Professional Writing Certificate which is offered on line so that helps me greatly. 2. reviewing poetry contest guidelines for the The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival in 2015. 3. printed and made pencil edits to 5 poems. NONE of this is my Hebrew homework. Unless you count when I printed out all 54 Lotería riddles and started brainstorming on which ones can stay and which ones can go when I design my own Hebrew Lotería. Le sirena, el borracho, el negrito, el camaron, el apache... maybe more will not be making the cut. Looking up the Hebrew transliteration for star (kochav? kokhav?) led me on an internet rabbit hole about Lucifer, the Morning Star. Also I have learned of el nopal, The prickly pear cactus ironically holds significance in both Palestinian and Israeli societies. as well as, In Israel, the cactus fig is called tsabar (Hebrew: צבר) in Hebrew. So I wonder if I can just submit my research, with Wiki citations, to my Hebrew teacher. I mean, it totally counts, yes?
