I have spoken at length this morning withe the Land and Property department of Yorks Water and Im now reassured that they are taking the matter seriously. People have been tasked with reviewing the area around the tanks and all other tanks on site to see if security and safety measures are adequate. They are also looking into wether the tanks can be emptied or filled in. I raised the issue of the deer and if/why, having been reported to staff earlier in the week, the correct action had been taken to deal with this (obviously not) and this is to be investigated and staff training will be looked at. I have been promised an update on all aspects on Tuesday next week (as Im away over the weekend) and in the meantime they are looking to remove the deer ASAP and have requested that people stay away from this area. For the moment it seems alarm bells are ringing at YW so hopefully things will get sorted in a reasonable period of time.
