I have this little thing that makes me slightly different from others. I wont call that special but I take it as a responsibility. I have many friends who willingly shared their very personal stories and problem with me. Their stories are safe with me thats why they trust me. Most importantly, whenever they tell me their stories or problems, I would listen. I interrupt very little unless to prompt them to continue or not to miss out the important details. If they ask for my advice, I will offer my opinion but I will always tell them decision is always theirs. They would normally question argue with my view but I would analyse the whole situation clearly. They might not always agree with me but at least they understand the situation better in order to make better decision. I am not an expert in problem solving but I listen and I could listen very patiently. After all some people only want someone to listen to them. Along the years, I have come across many problems and most of them could be solved. I have saved many relationships. I too have talked people out of suicide intentions. If only we could lend our ears more, I am sure we could help build a better society.
