I have this saying that accurate prayers is cooperating with Gods willingness to do, and not appealing to his reluctance. Jesus came to show man what to do, and what not to do, and so when He went to the garden of Gethesmane to pray, it was to teach man that it doesnt matter if you pray all night, or passionately, if you are not praying the express will of the FATHER for that season or time, youre just sweating. If Christ prayed all night, until droplets of His sweat became like blood, yet GOD did not answer, but when He prayed the will of the FATHER (praying in the spirit) there was immediate response, Can we His body be praying our desires and pleasures to GOD and be giving offerings to HIM so HE can multiply them (the offering of Cain), and be hoping HE would hear us?. The Spirit knows the mind of the FATHER, and praying in the Spirit isnt just about speaking in tongues? The only GOD accepted way for believers to pray is in the Spirit, fulfilling the desires of the FATHER; Requesting, and declaring the Will of GOD through our lives, and not all these pleasurable desires, fleshly lust prayers were prone to. HOW HAVE WE BEEN PRAYING: in Spirit and in truth, or in the flesh; consumed by the lust of our own desires, pleasures, and wants? WHAT HAVE WE BEEN PRAYING: The will of the FATHER, or our own desires, ambition, and passions? Does GOD care about our desires? Oh yes HE does. But HE told us that HIS Kingdom must come first, be paramount, it must be the most important of our pursuit. Not what to eat, or what to wear etc things that are also the desires of the children of the world, and for which theyve heaped upon themselves the wrath of GOD. -culled from fellowship with Bro.Gbenga.
