I have to share this - yesterday we surveyed property bordering Little River Canyon. We had to walk abt 500 ft to go into the woods and along the way I spied the first pic, a pile of poo which my Boone/Crockett woodsman expertise said was bear poo. My nerves were on high alert - every leaf that rustled caught my undivided attention. Rodney was no help at all! As we were going into the deep woods, I spied the baby bear poo, so I am totally freaked. Not long after that, I hear a sudden growl and I am frozen in fear for a nano- second, then realize its a big truck across the Canyon backing off - big tough Rodney is rolling! We finish the job several hours later through tough terrain and come to the rim. I slide down a tree to take in the view and not caring if the bear eats me or not. The view was spectacular, I guess I forgot. Pic 3 is the Canyon and you can see the River; next pic is some barbed wire I pulled from the top of page wire - a remnant of a life from a far yesterday; The next two pictures are a tree that died or was blown over, but even in death its roots still held on to the rock at its base, wow, so beautiful; the next picture is Witch Hazel in its element. There is so much beauty in this life. We just have to take a moment and enjoy what God has so graciously given us.
