I have to share this. I was working on my mother inlaws thermostat - TopicsExpress

I have to share this. I was working on my mother inlaws thermostat yesterday trying to figure out how to set it up. I pulled it off the wall got the serial number off of it and called the number listed inside the thermostat. It had been disconnected. I go online find the manufacturers website. Type in the serial number and it wont come up. So I call the customer service / technical support number. They gather my information. Tell me that I onlly need the first five numbers. I go back into the website. Enter the first five numbers, get the manual number, try to access the information and it says the website is currently under update and need to check back later. So I call the help desk back and ask them if they could send it to my email. Which I alread gave them. He looks up the information of the manual. Comes back to me and says, No, I cannot help you this is a commercial thermostat and the person / commercial company who installed it needs to come out and fix it. We do not do commercial thermostat. He then said, is there any other way I can help you? What I am getting at is. You can buy this product at McLendons and install it yourself. I only needed a manual, and the person who installed it was the previous owner. All I needed was a MANUAL. So, to those companies who feel it is better to get cheap labor over seas to save a few pennies, You really need to know what your customer service people are telling your consumers. Honeywell, to say the least I am thoroughly dissapointed. If I cant even access your website, customer service/technical support, then I will be getting my products elsewhere.
