I have to tell you a cute story about what we observed today. Bill and I were in Elkhorn at the butcher shop, they serve fresh grilled brats, burgers, etc. from a stand at the side of the building. While waiting in line, the most adorable black lab came trotting down the sidewalk towards us. He stopped and looked at us and continued on his way. The UPS guy was picking up his burger and asked if any of us were his owners, we said no. He then said, I think I know where his home is, Ive seen him at the front door of a house a few blocks from here. He coaxed the lab to his truck with his hamburger, opened the side door and the lab jumped in! He sat in his truck and shared the burger with the dog then drove off to take him home. It was so great to see someone concerned about the dogs safety and actually do something like this. I hollered thank you to him!!!! :)
