I have to thank my high school English teachers (TISS) and the Brockville Public Library for introducing me to many of the great books Ive read, and my sister Judy for passing on a lot of her books to me as well. Some of the books I checked off in the BBC list, and many more, I obtained via the book swap shelf at the Palm Paradise resort when I was living in Sri Lanka. Every week Id go to the resort to have Lion Beer and a swim in the ocean before swapping out another two or three books to take home to read on the veranda of my house. Relaxing in my buffalo-hide chair with a new-to-me book and a lime soda while the monkeys and birds chattered at me from the mango trees - magical memories. Still love to read and am currently enjoying A Map of the World here on the beach!
