I have worked insanely, or actually in a highly directed sane manner, twelve hours yesterday and again all day from 6 am. Finally.... there is a choice in hairy algebra of complex variables. We put an imaginary quantity into the polynomial IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FRACTION, and this is cool. This is what Kerr brilliantly solved in 1963. Well the DKS paper uses a more complicated form of 1/r, and this is shocking, it all looks so stoooopidly simple. Its not. ANYHOW, we are free to differentiate the complex quantities however they appear. We may try immediately to RATIONALIZE THE FRACTION, and multiply top and bottom by the complex conjugate, we make the denominator REAL, and the numerator is now a sum of a REAL part and an IMAGINARY part. Turns out there is a bad cost to doing this immediately, the number of terms and their exponent order doubles, AHHHHH. I am to leave it with a complex denominator, and differentiate first. THIS TOOK MUCH WORK LAST YEAR AND RECENTLY, to see, and I think it is simple, if you say, given a sum of Re and Im parts, operating on them both with REAL OPERATORS will not confuse this.
