I havent addressed #Ferguson yet! I dont quite have the words to articulate. Im emotional and I want to make sure my words dont come from an angry place, but from a place where I can offer hope during these times. We must pray and be proactive. We can march and have rallies, but when the dust settles, we cant forget. Mike was someones son, uncle, and friend. He still has a name, and his parents are feeling the gut wrenching pain every moment. We cant have movements that dont offer solutions. Our feet must do more than walk to the beat of a drum. After the march, then what? We must remember to vote, participate in town hall meetings, become active in our schools and communities, and be the village. We are losing too many of our black men.
