I havent been as active on FB recently as I had been for several months, so I just wanted to check in and say a few words in case any of my FB friends have been wondering where the heck Ive been. First of all, I had planned right along to be less active on FB during the summertime. The great outdoors simply has to trump the web occasionally. But secondly (as some of you already know), something unexpected has come up this summer: my mom suffered a seizure. As a result, Ive been providing some home care. Shes improving and the future looks good, but we still have a way to go. To conclude on a lighter note, Im really enjoying the down day were having here weather-wise today. A cloudy, Septemberish day towards the end of July is welcome. Not that Im anxious to put away my sunblock anytime soon. A New Englander always has to make the most of the summertime weather, because winter is never that far away.
