I havent been back to Des Moines since the summer after we graduated. Sadly, I havent kept in touch with anyone either. (Thats just my nature, I guess.) I didnt even realize its been 50 years, or that we had a reunion coming up. After 7 years in school on the West Coast, I spent around 40 years living and working in Chicago, and then made Siesta Key my permanent residence a few months ago, after commuting between Chicago and Siesta Key for a few years. Its not surprising that info regarding the reunion didnt find me--Ive been pretty much in the wind and under the radar. So, it was a very pleasant surprise to recently reconnect here on FB. (Thank you, Ron Helming for the inspiration!) Ive been having fun getting a bit of a peek into the past by re-seeing some old friends in the present. I just booked the flights and hotel, and am looking forward to seeing all of you Teddy High Class of 64 classmates in June.
