I havent been on FB for quite a while, as my mom has been failing since last Friday. Many of you know that she has had four close calls over the past 4 years, but this time she wont be rallying again... My sister Char Meyer posted the following words, and I feel that she expressed it well, so I am sharing her words. Please be in prayer for my mothers peaceful passing. Thank you! Char posted: My mom is at end-of-life. I praise the Lord that up until Friday morning, October 3rd, she was on oxygen, but walking slowly with a walker, mentally with it, and a great cribbage opponent. After some sort of episode with her lungs and heart, her oxygen level went to only 69%. She has lost her ability to process and express words and sentences. We can see how frustrated she is. She is so tired and weak. Presently her mind and body are preparing for the next part of her journey. Her next home will be in the arms of Christ. We appreciate prayers for her to pass on in peace, comforted by Gods promises. The words Fear not is in the Bible 365 times, one for each day of the year. Mom is already seeing glimpses of the other side, with arms raised and big smiles. It is mumbling to us, but shes talking to some one and seeing what our eyes cant yet see. After coming back from imminent death four times, it is hard for us to truly accept that it wont be happening again. We love her, but we want her to go soon. We really lost our mom on Friday morning. We appreciate prayers for my two sisters and me, the spouses, the grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
