I havent cooked anything today, except for the Idli Breakfast..but I still have my bit of story to share with you all today.. Yesterday, I posted about how my husband surprised me with gift of Airfryer..today was the second day of a very thoughtful surprise from him.. My husband occasionally helps me in the kitchen, either when I am too tired or not well, or when the maid has played a truant.. Today had been a very hectic day, starting with breakfast, then monthly grocery shopping and then cleaning up of the kitchen.. By the time I finished all this it was 6.30 and I was starting to prep for dinner, which was to be chicken to be made in the Airfryer..just then my daughter came crying about severe writers cramp..she is in midst of her exams and has a paper tomorrow, so couldnt afford to ignore that and I asked hubby to take her to the doc , while I prepared the dinner..to my utter disapppoinent, he flatly refused..I for very annoyed and agreed to take her to the doc in the condition that he pulls off the entire meal by himself..and that I was not in a mood to eat outside food, so not to order anything from outside..he gave me a very sheepish grin which irritated me further..I was tired to the core and in no mood of stepping out and then returning home to empty pots and pans.. When I returned at 8.00, to my utter disbelief I saw my husband in the kitchen, cleaning chicken and some chopped onions, garlics, ginger etc on the chopping board..I was still very sceptical, as he has never pulled off a complete meal all by himself..I am always around and its just either the frying of pooris or rolling of paranthas or grilling of sandwiches that he has done earlier.. He finished cooking, and we sat down for dinner at around 9.30pm..I took the first bite of chicken curry with rice and I was like...in heaven..it tasted too good..my daughter said - mom with all due credit to your cooking, I think I would prefer dad to cook chicken next time..my son too went..Mumma, the chicken is so good..and was I jealous? No, I wasnt..infact, I am so happy, that I can now depend on him to cook a complete meal independently..and yes..also to my utter amazement I didnt have to spend hours cleaning up the kitchen, just took me 15-20 minutes..which is so unlike him..thank you Sonu Singh, for the most amazing chicken..so whos doing the tandoori tomorrow? P.s: didnt have time for a proper picture..
