I havent done this in a while, so here is Lauras political rant for the day. Im watching Mark Kirk on the news this morning, who ran as and was elected as a Republican senator. He just went on a 10 minute rant about the need for the United States to provide housing etc. for illegal alien children. Correct me if Im wrong, but in the United States we have a huge homeless population, huge numbers of Americans living below the poverty level, and American families struggling every day. I see homeless Americans every single day in downtown Chicago, and the numbers are increasing. Forgive me, but I feel, as most Republicans do, that we should use our resources to take care of our own citizens and also our veterans. While I understand why the illegals wish to stay here, and I wont elaborate on those reasons, we need to continue to focus on our own. Mark Kirk needs to change his party from republican to democrat.
