I havent had too many clients lately. Ive had a few planned then cancelled sessions which normally can drive me into a state of self doubt and a long list of self mental mutilation. This time however I choose to just ignore it and shoot anyway. Ive done five very cool and very different shoots from Thursday to today. I did the figure photography at the waterfall, some portraits downtown, some fine art motion pictures in the woods, a shipwreck themed fashion shoot, and a lingerie shoot in a very old building. Why do this when I dont have a client? Because this is my passion. When Im happy I want to shoot and when Im down and feeling depressed I want to shoot more. While I will spend time marketing this week as always I never lose site of the fact that my first and highest priority as a creative is to take pictures. Like everyone else I need jobs that pays, but I have been so blessed that I can seek those jobs doing something that I love. As tired as I am right now I still dont feel as if Ive worked a single day. I want to say thank you to all of you who take time to like and comment on the work. It makes it so much more enjoyable getting to share what I love.
