I havent posted about this and have only spoken to a few people about it. Mostly because my oncologist has been very conservative about this and wanted me to consult with my radiation oncologist for another set of eyes. I have received my 4th clear PET scan in a row. For one year straight now, they have not been able to see anything. They even followed up with a CT scan with contrast to be sure. In the words of my radiation oncologist, the ruling on the field stands. My markers are a bit elevated and that was why the 2nd opinions. Markers are influenced by many other things and are the least reliable measuring tool. All I can say, is 6 years out from Stage IV colon cancer, and still here (and very much so, being about as active as ever), is in itself a miracle. To be at this point with people painstakingly trying to see something there, and they cant, well thats unspeakable. I have the medical world scratching their heads in a good way. Thank you to those who continue to pray for me. It takes a not so small army to keep me going and words cant express my gratitude. No matter what God is good, and us do all the time. I ask your continued prayers for my health and that God continues to show me opportunities to use my story for His glory, and to strengthen me on the tougher days (treatment days...yuck).
