I havent posted here yet...hi! My name is Sara, Im a hearing person learning sign language just because Ive always wanted to. I can have basic conversation, most of which I learned throughout school. My question is mostly to people who are deaf or who have good experience with those who are deaf. So, I dont know, and have never known, a deaf person. I would really like to find a local (Gainesville, FL) deaf person to be friends with and sign with. That sounds creepy...which is why Im posting here. I dont want to put out a craigslist ad or be weird if I see someone signing in public and feel the need to introduce myself to them. Basically, what is the best way to meet deaf people in their 20s-30s without being weird?
