I havent posted this on facebook and I am not really sure why...I think part of it was me being selfish and another part was fear. My mom decided to make herself hospice and stop chemotherapy on Aug 21 and give up her fight with cancer. The cancer is terminal and we knew that from the beginning...she has been fighting a never ending battle that she was never going to win for the last year and a half. Since dads death almost a year ago she has been severely depressed, and she is ready to go be with the love of her life again. Mom had a really bad day yesterday, sleeping most of the day and not really responding to us. We were fearful that it might be time to say goodbye. However, today she was awake all day and very chatty, she gets confused easily and has a lot of trouble concentrating. If this is the first you have heard about this I deeply apologize if you felt you should have been told personally. My life has been a whirlwind of nurses, aides, social workers, decisions and emotions over the last 3 weeks! My daughter is also getting married next Saturday 9/20, so we have all been dealing with a lot emotions, stress and anxiety, and I am sure there are people that I should have told and didnt. Again I am so very sorry. Thank you so much for all the family, friends and my co-workers who have stopped by to visit, called, text or facebook messaged me. Your thoughts, prayers and love have meant the world to me and my family.
