I havent said much since the result on Friday. So heres how Im feeling and what I plan to do next. Had the referendum been a straight 45/55 win for no I could accept that as the democratic will of the majority of Scots. However, in my view a significant amount of the electret were scared into voting no by the Westminster apparatus, big business, the banks, the national press, the BBC in particular and the remaining TV channels. I am sickened at the obvious subversion of the democratic process by British Nationalism trying to perpetuate a system that is out dated and corrupt. The YES campaign did not loose democracy did. I have decided to continue to work for independence as I believe that it is in the best interests of both the people of Scotland and rUK. As of this morning I have joined the SNP, not because I am a nationalist but because I believe that Labour no longer represents the working class of Scotland and have marked themselves out against the kind of change that would have actually made a difference to everyone in these islands. I would ask everyone to go online and join a non unionist political party of your choice that supports independence, SSP, The Green Party or the SNP the choice is yours. I firmly believe that when those who voted no realise that Westminster have no intention of giving us any meaningful new powers we can and we will grow the 45% to become a majority percentage. If you want to see the real difference in what we all voted for, take a look at the front pages of todays Herald showing photographs from Thursdays YES gathering in Glasgows George square set agents the other news papers showing the events of Friday evening in the same place. Dont give up, vote to swing the next general election to none unionist partys. 45 x
