I havent seen blue butterflies in some time. We were at about 5600 ft or so in the Tatoosh 161 Hike Wilderness. Another grueling 5 hr hike, this time driven by biting flies and enduring heat. The water was quite high, near the end of our hike. Flowers were stunning but frankly these grueling hikes where you could fall over the cliff with one wrong move are well... Tedious. I think we go to the woods for different reasons. This was a very tough trail.
