I hear. A lot of Wal-Mart bashing and bashing of other companies that pay their employees minimum wage.1st off no one is holding a gun to the employees head, they can leave if they are not happy with the wage they agreed to when they were offered the job. Secondly the figures in this picture are wrong along with ever person who says the minimum wage is 7.50 and we should increase it to 15$ an hour that is only a $7.50 increase. They leave out the workmans compensation which employers have to pay which is a percentage of the employees wage and the taxes the employers have to match which is a percentage of the employees wage. As a roofing contractor for every dollar we pay an employee we have to pay 75 cents in taxes, workmans comp, and general liability. Which are all calculated as a percentage of the employees wage. That being said companies like Costco and the container store that pay their low skilled/educated employees well do well too. They treat their employees well and their businesses are thriving because of it.
